Cafeteria Closed
The cafeteria will be closed on Dec 17.  If a pizza lunch was not purchased, students will need to pack a non-microwavable lunch and drink.  Students will not be allowed to leave campus to purchase food, nor order food for delivery.

Thank you to every family that sent in a toy for Toys for Tots, and supplies/money for the senior mission trip to the Dominican. You will bless many families.
Exams
High School exams will be Dec 18 (1st and 2nd block) and Dec 19 (3rd and 4th block).  Students will be dismissed at noon on both days.

Cafeteria Closed
The cafeteria will be closed on 17.  A pizza lunch will be offered.  All money (cash only) and complete order form due by Dec 11.




Exams:
High School exams will be Dec 18 (1st and 2nd block) and Dec 19 (3rd and 4th block).  Students will be dismissed at noon on both days.  


Senior Mission Trip
Our Senior Class is headed to the Dominican and Quito for our annual Mission Trip. The dates of the trip are January 6-10, 2020. This trip would not be possible without the donations from our Hickory Grove families. Below is a list of the items we are asking for students to donate. 
Monetary donations (cash only) are also being accepted to purchase food bags once the students arrive in the Dominican. Students assemble and distribute the food bags to families in the villages and communities while they are there ministering to the local people. A small gift of $15.00 will feed a family of four for one month.
We will collect items from December 9-13.

Christmas Chapel

Please join us, December 5 for Christmas Chapel at 9:30 am in the Worship Center.



Winter Band Concert
You are invited to attend the Winter Band Concert on December 6 at 7:00 pm in the Event Center (cafeteria).

Grandparents Chapel
On November 26, we will honor grandparents with a special Chapel. We hope you will be able to join us at 9:30 am.  Immediately following Chapel, students, parents, and grandparents that purchased a Thanksgiving banquet ticket will proceed to eat.  Please remember, if your child will be signed out after Chapel or the banquet, please sign them out prior to Chapel.  The Chapel will be live-streamed for any grandparent that may not be able to make it.

High School students will have their grade photos made Monday, December 2  during Smart Lunches.
First Smart Lunch: 12:05-12:20: 9th Grade
First Smart Lunch: 12:20-12:35: 10th Grade
Second Smart Lunch: 12:35 - 12:50: 11th Grade

We will meet in the FLC Lobby near the front desk.

Blood Drive

Hickory Grove Christian School is sponsoring a blood drive on November 25.  You may sign up here.  Students that are 16 and 17 may give with parental permission.  Permission slips are in the high school office.

Honor Chapel Friday

Week of October 21, 2019






Operation Charlotte begins on Monday, October 21, 2019. This week is a week designated to serve our Charlotte communities. Students from ALL grades will serve in places such as our HG Food Pantry, Taylor Glen, Brookdale Retirement, Hospitality House, and many more. One of the major events that week is, of course, our Feed the Need Packing Party on Tuesday, October 22nd. If you are willing to volunteer at the packing party, please sign up here.

Report Cards
1st quarter report cards will be available to parents to view and print beginning Tuesday, October 15.  This option will be available through Monday, October 28. 

PSAT
On October 30, all 9th-11th graders will be administered the PSAT.  Seniors will not attend school on this day.  High school students only will be dismissed at noon.

Student Visitors
For safety reasons, only parents and grandparents are allowed to come and eat lunch with a current HG student.  Any former graduate of HG may come and eat with a student with permission from Mr.Hamilton via email. Once permission is obtained, we will let the front desk and Officer Dan know that permission has been granted.
