Parents

Please join us on Thursday 1/26 at 5:30 for High School Curriculum Night for second semester classes. Curriculum Night is open to all parents with students in grades 9-12.

During Curriculum Night you will follow your student’s  second semester schedule and spend approximately twenty minutes in each of his/her classes.  During that time teachers will talk specifically about their curriculum, expectations, procedures, and other class related items.  This will also be a great time for you to ask questions as well.

Please bring a copy of your student’s schedule with you on Thursday.  At 5:30 pm please report to the 1B class.  Once in this session teachers will explain how you are to proceed through the rest of the schedule.

We look forward to sharing this time with you and hope to see you Thursday.

In His Service,

Wanda Royal

High School Principal

THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone that provided the amazing, delicious breakfast that you prepared for us on Jan 18. Everything was so good and we were able to eat for days. Your generosity was overwhelming. Thank you again.

Attendance:
If your child is going to be tardy or absent, please notify the office by 8:30 am by email to michelewilson@hgchristian.org. so we can make sure attendance is accurate.

Just a reminder: 3 tardy's will be converted to an absence. If a student has more that 8 absences per semester, the Administration will have to approve whether the student can be promoted to the next grade level.

Lost and Found:
Is your child missing a lunchbox, jacket, water bottle, etc.? Please check the Family Life Center's Lost and Found box. It is overflowing with items left. If not collected, items will be either donated, or thrown away.

Off-Season Conditioning Workouts

The HGCS Athletic Department is offering off-season conditioning workouts for ALL athletes grades 6th-12th not involved in a winter/spring sport.
Coach Pondo has coordinated and led these workouts for the last ten years and is BFS certified. Workouts will start January 3, 2017, Monday through Thursday each week in the field house after school until 5:00p.m. The program he follows is the nationally recognized “Bigger, Faster, Stronger (BFS)” program. This program is used by most high schools and small colleges/universities in the country. It is a great program for ALL athletes in all sports. Athletes must have a current physical on file with Athletic Trainer in order to participate.
The off-season is the time for you to improve as an individual. It is our hope that ALL will take advantage of this program. This program is free of charge, convenient, and it WORKS!
Please contact Coach Pondo with any concerns or questions. Also, please see the attached information regarding instructions.

Lost and Found

The Family Life Center has many lost and found items. Please come by and take a look to see if anything belongs to your child. Anything not claimed by tomorrow will be either thrown away or donated.
