HGCS Parents
Please note that the 2nd quarter report cards (1st semester) will be available for you to view/print beginning Thursday, January 4.  They will remain open until Friday, January, 19.  If you need to print a copy of your child's report card, please make sure you do so by Friday, January 19.  This option will be closed by the end of the day on 1/19/18.

Yearbook Personalization

Yearbook personalization forms are due by the end of this week and we will not be accepting anymore personalization orders in the new year.

Chick Fil A Night for Precious Cargo
Please stop by Chick Fil-A on Albemarle Road this Thursday, December 14, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. 20 % of proceeds will go towards Precious Cargo ministry.

2018 Dominican Trip
 Our Senior Class is headed to the Dominican for our annual Mission Trip. The dates of the trip are January 8-12, 2018. This trip would not be possible without the donations from our Hickory Grove families. Monetary donations are also being accepted to purchase food bags once the students arrive in the Dominican. Students assemble and distribute the food bags to families in the villages and communities while they are there ministering to the local people. A small gift of $15.00 will feed a family of four for one month. Please contact the high school office at 704-531-4077 if you have any questions. Winter Performing Arts Concert
Please join us tonight at 6:30 for the Winter Performing Arts Concert.  It is free of charge.
                          

No Collar for $1.00
Students may wear ugly Christmas sweaters/shirts OR a nice Christmas sweater or shirt to school  on December 6th for $1.00 donation to our fund that will go to provide Christmas gifts for  needy families.

Cafeteria Closings
On December 12 and December 14, the cafeteria will be closed.  All students will need to pack a non microwavable lunch and drink.  Students will be eating in classrooms for these 2 days. There will be no food available for students to purchase.

Car Pool Request
I was wondering if there are any parents or high school student who would be able to give Dustin a ride home after school for the next 3 months (Dec – Feb).

I live very close to the school (only 1.5 miles) on Pence Pond Lane.

Early Dismissal November 21
All students will be dismissed at 11:30 Tuesday, November 21. They will need to be off campus by 11:45.

HOSA Fall Blood Drive
The Hickory Grove Christian School HOSA club is sponsoring their Annual Fall Blood drive on November 20 from 11:00-3:30 in rooms 1111/1112 near the Welcome Center.  Please consider saving a life by donating your blood. You may contact Nurse Shelton at larashelton@hgchristian.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or visit redcrossblood.org and enter code: hickorygrovechristianschool. You can also complete your "pre-donation assessment" ahead of time by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass and completing your health history questions.

Chapel
Please join us this Thursday, November 16 for Chapel.  It will begin at 9:30 in the Worship Center.  All students are expected to be in Honors dress.

1st quarter reports cards will be open (on Renweb) to view and print until Tuesday, October 31

"FLOPTOBER"
On Tuesday, October 31st, middle school and high school students may participate in  a "FLOPTOBER No Collar for a Dollar" event to raise money to purchase flip flops for the DR mission trip.

Students, may wear an HG shirt or a TEAM shirt of your choice. Your pants will need to follow dress code.
