ACT Testing

On February 25, 2020, 11th grade only, will take the ACT test from 7:45 am -12:00 pm. After the test, 11th grade ONLY will be dismissed at noon. 

Parenthood & The Gospel

We are collecting Box Tops for Education. Our school earns 10 cents for each Box Top submitted.

We will give out prizes to the students submitting the most Box Tops in each grade level! 

Box Tops are due by February 6th. Student's name and grade should be written on the bag/envelope

and given to your homeroom teacher. High School students turn them in at the High School office. 

A new way to save...get the Box Tops for Education App. Traditional Box Tops are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products. Add the Box Tops App to your phone and just scan your store receipt and our school will be credited online. Forward a copy of your confirmation email to yjkj4him@carolina.rr.com and designate your child's name for contest credit. 

You can also earn Box Tops for our school if you shop online at the following places:

· Target pickup/drive up

1) Make sure you have a Box Tops for Education account. (via app or website) 

2) Forward your email receipt to receipts@boxtops4education.com using the same email associated with your BTFE account. 

3) Box Tops will be credited within 10 business days - view your earnings detail in the My Earnings section of the app.

Parent Night
Please join us this Thursday, January 23, for parent night beginning at 6:00 pm in the Event Center.  The two topics that will be discussed are:

• "Tackling the tough conversations" led by Mrs.Bennett and Mrs.Staples
• "Understanding your child's PSAT results and test prep for college admissions," led by Dr. Similton.

Re-enrollment
Re-enrollment is now available for current students.  

If you are planning to re-enroll your student for the 2020-2021 school year, please note that re-enrollment must be completed through your FACTS SIS Family Portal and MUST be completed on a desktop computer.  You will not be able to re-enroll on your phone, I-pad, tablet, etc.  

Report Cards
Report cards are available now.  The last day to view/print will be January 22.

Senior Mission Trip
Today, 44 seniors and 12 chaperones left for either the Dominican Republic or Quito, Ecuador.  Please keep them in your prayers as they head out to do God's work and minister to the people of these countries.

Early Dismissal
On January 15, all students will be dismissed at 12:00.

Cafeteria Closed
The cafeteria will be closed on Dec 17.  If a pizza lunch was not purchased, students will need to pack a non-microwavable lunch and drink.  Students will not be allowed to leave campus to purchase food, nor order food for delivery.

Cafeteria Closed
The cafeteria will be closed on 17.  A pizza lunch will be offered.  All money (cash only) and complete order form due by Dec 11.

Exams:
High School exams will be Dec 18 (1st and 2nd block) and Dec 19 (3rd and 4th block).  Students will be dismissed at noon on both days.  

Senior Mission Trip

Our Senior Class is headed to the Dominican and Quito for our annual Mission Trip. The dates of the trip are January 6-10, 2020. This trip would not be possible without the donations from our Hickory Grove families. Below is a list of the items we are asking for students to donate. 

Monetary donations (cash only) are also being accepted to purchase food bags once the students arrive in the Dominican. Students assemble and distribute the food bags to families in the villages and communities while they are there ministering to the local people. A small gift of $15.00 will feed a family of four for one month.

We will collect items from December 9-13.

10	A-M Children's Tylenol suspension N-Z Children’s cold and cough syrup
11	A-M Diaper rash cream N-Z Hydrocortisone 1% cream

Christmas Chapel

Please join us, December 5 for Christmas Chapel at 9:30 am in the Worship Center.

Winter Band Concert
You are invited to attend the Winter Band Concert on December 6 at 7:00 pm in the Event Center (cafeteria).

Cafeteria Closed
The cafeteria will be closed on December 5 and 17.  On December 5, all students must pack a non-microwavable lunch. Students will not be allowed to leave campus or order food for delivery.  More details will come about a pizza lunch being offered on December 17.
