Grandparents Chapel
On November 26, we will honor grandparents with a special Chapel. We hope you will be able to join us at 9:30 am.  Immediately following Chapel, students, parents, and grandparents that purchased a Thanksgiving banquet ticket will proceed to eat.  Please remember, if your child will be signed out after Chapel or the banquet, please sign them out prior to Chapel.  The Chapel will be live-streamed for any grandparent that may not be able to make it.

Upcoming Grade Photos
High School students will have their grade photos made Monday, December 2  during Smart Lunches.
First Smart Lunch: 12:05-12:20: 9th Grade
First Smart Lunch: 12:20-12:35: 10th Grade
Second Smart Lunch: 12:35 - 12:50: 11th Grade
Second Smart Lunch: 12:50 - 1:05: 12th Grade
We will meet in the FLC Lobby near the front desk.

Cafeteria Closed:
The cafeteria will be closed on December 5 and 17.  On December 5, all students must pack a non-microwavable lunch. Students will not be allowed to leave campus or order food for delivery.  More details will come about a pizza lunch being offered on December 17.

Morning Mile:
Due to the Thanksgiving Banquet set up, the morning mile has been canceled for tomorrow, November 26.  It will resume on December 2.

On November 13, sophomores only will take the PRE ACT.

Early Dismissal
All students will be dismissed at noon on November 13.

Tickets are on sale for the now for the "Miracle on 34th Street". There will be two showings,
November 15 and 16 at 7:00 pm in the Event Center (cafeteria)
Adults $8.00

Honor Chapel Friday

This Friday, we will have Chapel at 1:00 PM honoring the following: (Honor dress is required).

Re-enrollment

Please note that re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year will begin on Thursday, January 3, 2019. You will have until Friday, January 25, 2019, to secure your child's spot for the 2019-2020 school year.  The registration fee, tuition fees, and re-enrollment instructions will be posted on your Renweb announcement page by the end of December.

Please join us at 8:00 this Thursday, December 6 in the Worship Center

for our Grandparent's & Christmas Chapel. All parents and grandparents are invited.

Winter Performing Arts Concert:

Join us this Friday, December 7 beginning at 7:00 pm in the Event Center (cafeteria) for our Winter Performing Arts Concert. Come and see our students use their God-given talent in singing, dancing, and playing an instrument.

HOSA Fall Blood Drive
The Hickory Grove Christian School HOSA club is sponsoring their Annual Fall Blood drive on November 20 from 11:00-3:30 in rooms 1111/1112 near the Welcome Center.  Please consider saving a life by donating your blood. You may contact Nurse Shelton at larashelton@hgchristian.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or visit redcrossblood.org and enter code: hickorygrovechristianschool. You can also complete your "pre-donation assessment" ahead of time by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass and completing your health history questions.

Chapel
Please join us this Thursday, November 16 for Chapel.  It will begin at 9:30 in the Worship Center.  All students are expected to be in Honors dress.

Cafeteria Closings
On December 12 and December 14, the cafeteria will be closed.  All students will need to pack a non microwavable lunch and drink.  Students will be eating in classrooms for these 2 days. There will be no food available for students to purchase and student drivers will not be allowed to leave campus to buy lunch.

Message from Admissions

Current HGCS Parents, 

The 2018-2019 Re-enrollment instructions for current students will be added to the Renweb announcement page on November 1 and will run through January 31, 2018.  If you have any questions, regarding re-enrollment, please contact the admissions office at 704-531-3589.

Grandparents/Christmas Chapel

Mark your calendars now for Grandparents/Christmas Chapel on Dec 7 at 8:00 am in the Worship center.  All grandparents/parents are invited.

                                 

Bless a child for Christmas  Toys for Tots collection dates will be Nov 1 thru Nov 30.

Middle collection box: outside of Mr. Hamilton’s Office

HighSchool collection box:  High School office.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy

Thank you for thinking of a child who won’t have anything for Christmas but because of your donation, a child will be Blessed and the Lord through you will be glorified.
