HGCS Fine Arts Shirts On Sale Now!

The Fine Arts Department and the AAA Booster Club have teamed up to offer a Fine Arts shirt for our students and parents for $20 each. All proceeds will go to the Fine Arts Department. Orders will be accepted through Brushfire. Click here to purchase. Youth sizes, as well as adult, are available. Shirts will be on sale until September 30.

Cafeteria Closed


This Friday, September 28, the cafeteria will be closed. If your child did not purchase a pizza lunch, you will need to pack a non-microwavable lunch, drink, and any utensils they may need to eat with. There will be no food on campus to purchase.



Plan now to have a night free from cooking and join us at MOOYAH for a fundraiser sponsored by our AAA Boosterblub.

Week of September 17 2018

Parent Night

Please plan to attend the first parent night of the 2018-2019 school year on September 18 beginning at 6:00 pm in the Event Center.  Here are the topics for High School:

  • Performing Arts (Band session 6:45 pm only).  Please report to room 1102 in the Welcome Center.
  • Comprehensive Guidance.  Please report to room 1112 in the Welcome Center.
  • Senior Parents Guidance & How to Use Naviance to Guide your Student.  Please report to room 1111 in the Welcome Center.

Spirit Week


Box top winners:

Thanks to all who collected Box Tops over the summer.  The following students collected the most for their grade. They will each receive a certificate for a Chick-fil-A sandwich.

A special thanks to Jessica Mendlik who turned in the most Box Tops.  She will also receive a second Chick-fil-A sandwich and a 5 dollar gift card to Target.

Our next collection will be in January.  Keep clipping those Box Tops!

Cafeteria Closed

The cafeteria will be closed September 28 due to a church event. Pizza money due by September 25.

If you ordered a class ring last year, Herff Jones will be delivering class rings on September 12 during lunch.  All rings must be paid in full. If you have any questions, you may contact them directly at 704-531-0015.

Friday Night Football
You still have time to sign up for the 2nd annual Cornhole Tournament taking place this Friday after the HG Lions vs Camden Military Academy.  Food Trucks will also be available beginning at 6:00 pm
