Homecoming Spirit Week

Tuesday - Class Color Day

Wednesday - America Day
Thursday - Team Day
Friday - Blue & Gold Day

 Athletic pants/shorts may be worn.  No leggings or yoga pants.
Please join us for the Homecoming game, Friday September 30th at 7 pm

Pittsburgh Mission Trip (November 7-11, 2016)

Advance the Gospel by serving the people of Pittsburgh with Ken & Paula Cordray through Living Faith Community Church. 17 slots open. Cost is $390. Students will be involved in servant-driven evangelism through various mission projects in key neighborhoods and communities throughout Pittsburgh. Trip leaders are Mr. Hamilton and Pastor Aaron Peters. Trip application is due to the main school office on Thursday, Sept 22nd.

Seniors:  Dominican Trip: (January 9-13, 2017)

Here are a few reminders about the Dominican trip:

The following forms are due to the HS office by Oct 3:
  • Copy of student passport
  • Completed SCORE application/medical release form
  • If under 18, completed/notarized SCORE parental consent form
If your child is not going, please email Michele Wilson at michelewilson@hgchristian.org ASAP so I can give the travel agency an accurate seat count.

The remaining balance must be paid November 7.

Winter Sports Informational Meeting

An informational meeting for all students and parents interested in winter sports (basketball, cheerleading, swimming) at Hickory Grove Christian School will be held on Monday, October 17 in Room 3012 at 6:30 (Education Center Basement). The meeting will cover tryouts, required paperwork, policies, expectations, and specific team information.

Upcoming Dates

  • September 26       NO SCHOOL TWD
  • September 30       Make up picture day
  • October 3             Herff Jones here to pass out information about graduation accessories (during lunch)
  • October 14            Fall break
  • October 17            TWD (Parent conferences)

  • October 18            Parent night 6PM   Event Center
  • October 18/19       Herff Jones back to take orders for graduation accessories (during lunch)
  • October 19            PSAT 1/2 day  (No school for Seniors)

Announcements for the Week of September 19, 2016

Seniors:  Dominican Trip: (January 9-13, 2017)

Here are a few reminders about the Dominican trip:

Absences/Tardies


Please notify the office by email (michelewilson@hgchristian.org) or phone (704-531-4077) by 9 am concerning any absences or tardy's.

Safety & Security

Please do not drop off students at the Family Life Center (FLC) entrance. Students are to be dropped off either at Guest Services entrance or at the High School entrance (steps) in the back parking lot.



Senior make up pictures

If you child wasn't able to make it to the original Senior picture day, the make up days are as follows:
  • September 19th   (Casual)   during lunch
  • September 22nd  (Formal)   during lunch

Senior pictures are ready to preview.  Your child has been given a flyer with all of the details from St. John for you to preview and order pictures.  If you order by September 2nd, you will receive free delivery to the school and 15% off.
